if last year is any indication of this year, I will be celebrating solo and quite crankily. I mean long distance sucks on holidays like that. Plus, he’s not the most romantic type on command. you can’t be like ‘GO MAKE ME FEEL SPECIAL. AND SEND ME THINGS. BAM!’ Though I do give it the old college try. But I mean I’m not really expecting anything. He couldn’t afford to send me anything for my birthday so why would a waaaay less significant holiday warrant anything? and I mean I tried and got him stuff last year (because this shit goes two ways), but alas, you really cannot force that man to do anything he does not already want to do on his own. *le sigh*

I do like the stubborn streak mostly. but the holiday time of year is a rough time for it.
